About Rebecca Heathcock, MBA, PMP, EMIT, MCTS
I help people build Real Wealth through smart and sustainable investments in commercial enterprise. What I mean by Real Wealth is wealth that takes into consideration three key areas: People, Planet and Profits. I have a passion for helping sustainable businesses thrive and I believe in supporting local living economies, protecting and preserving our natural capital, and helping entrepreneurs and investors build healthy, sustainable businesses. You can also read more about what I mean by Real Wealth by visiting David Korten’s Living Economies Forum.
My work as a business consultant is fueled by three decades of experience working for companies of all sizes from seed stage to established multi-national. For the past three years, my business consulting work has been focused on helping early stage clean technology startups commercialize products in the State of Washington. This work has been paid for in part by a grant from the U.S. Economic Development administration for work on the i6 Green Challenge in collaboration with the Washington Clean Energy Partnership.
With regard to my real estate work, I’m really a different kind of commercial real estate broker. I love working in commercial real estate because it allows me to help local businesses (built on sustainable business models) thrive. This work also allows me to put to use the skills I have been cultivating for the past 30 years — including project management, marketing, business development and negotiations — to help my clients succeed. And I have a passion for commercial real estate because it allows me to contribute to building a more sustainable thriving economy here in Whatcom County; an economy fueled by living wage jobs and managed by community members who for the most part value and strive to preserve the abundance of natural capital we are so lucky to enjoy here.
I’m originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but I now call Whatcom County home, which is where I also work most of the time. I currently serve real estate clients in the State of Washington, and my consulting practice serves clients regardless of location, with a desire to physically expand in the states of Washington, Oregon and California.
